A healthy learning environment is vital for growth and development. As we work together to combat COVID-19 and other illnesses, below are the precautionary measures we are taking to keep your child healthy:

• Partnering with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to follow current COVID-19 guidelines for childcare centers including mask guidance, requirements for quarantining, and following virus trends in our area.

• Strictly enforcing Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs’ (LARA) handwashing policy, three-step cleaning process on all toys and surface areas of the classroom, and mask guidance for applicable staff and children.

• We will require all staff to receive both doses of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines or single dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

• We will require all staff to wear disposable shoe coverings to limit the exposure of germs in the classroom.

• We will provide our staff with a naptime and closing checklist for the end of the day to ensure classrooms are cleaned and sanitized thoroughly.

• Each classroom will utilize UV lights daily to kill micro-organisms such as viruses, bacteria, and other pathogens.

• Our HVAC system is equipped with an air purification system to improve indoor air quality and remove harmful particles that put our children at risk for becoming ill more frequently.

• Our sinks, hand dryers, and water fountains are equipped with motion activation to limit the exposure to unnecessary germs and bacteria.

• We will assess each child’s health at the beginning of each day and notify parents on any changes.

• We will have temperature checks for all children and staff daily, and more frequently if needed.
